About the Studio
Artfully Moody Design
moodesto™ is an independent art and design studio based in Melbourne, Australia, founded by multidisciplinary artist and designer Alvin de Castro.
The studio creates printable wall art and digital artwork for contemporary interiors, spanning abstract, botanical, graphic, architectural, and widescreen formats. Each work is developed through visual research, art direction, digital image-making, editing, and print preparation.
Art, Rhythm & Space
Alvin’s background in graphic design, choreography, and creative direction shapes the studio’s use of rhythm, proportion, repetition, colour, and negative space.
The work moves between quiet organic forms and more direct graphic compositions, but remains grounded in clarity, restraint, and atmosphere. It is designed to add visual presence without adding unnecessary noise.
An Evolving Visual Practice
moodesto™ began with Mid-Century Modern and Japandi influences before expanding into textured abstraction, botanical line art, geometric compositions, architectural forms, and digital art made for screen display.
The result is a continually developing collection connected by considered composition, distinctive colour, and an interest in how artwork changes the feeling of a space.

Minimalism is abstract, but abstraction isn’t always minimal. Minimalism as addition through art is a way of getting to know yourself without distraction. It’s carried by clear hierarchy, controlled contrast, and intentional negative space — design essentials that keep a room focused and functional.
